He Is Not Far Away!

My Dear Children,

There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and pray for you. I also try to be very discerning of the spiritual realm and how these spiritual being are trying to take advantage of you to mislead and confuse you. I think it is very wise for all parents to be and on guard and praying for their children. I hope and pray that you will remember to do so when you have a family.

We are living in a very perilous time.  If you pay attention to the news and to what is going on right around your community it may not be the safe place it once was. Our homes, workplaces, schools and even our churches are not the safe havens they once were.

Train yourself to be always alert to what is going on around you.  Don’t go around in a fog relying on others to watch out for you.  Have active minds, think of what you would do if some of the daily events happened to you. How would you respond to various situations?  You can be sure some difficult things will occur in your life at some point, and then you will be very glad to be ready for such a situation.

My dear children we are not to live in fear of every shadow, just be aware of what is in the shadows.  Be honest and truthful in all your dealings to the best of your ability.  Don’t get caught up in living a lie and cheating, this robs you of a peaceful mind and heart.  Once you start a lie it seems we have to lie again to cover the first lie.  It takes on a life of it own, then it begins to control you.

Dear children do not be to hard on yourself when you fail.  The world and other folks around you will be hard enough on you.  We all fail now and then!   What is important is that we get up and go on again. Know that you are going to disappoint family and friends. They will also disappoint you. Don’t be distressed by it, time heals a lot of things.

Life can be hard sometimes and relationships can leave deep wounds.  Remember that old things pass away and new things replace them. The heart has a wonderful way of healing and life goes on.

My loved one I encourage you to look for Jesus, He is not far away.  The Holy Spirit is always ready to help you in every situation. They may not seem very important to you right now but there will come a time when they will be your only help.

I know I am a foolish old man.  I also know this, my Father in heaven has made my life so fruitful and he has kept His eye on me all these many years.  He also has His eye on you and is making your life fruitful as well.

May God bless you and keep you!

All my Love and prayers,

Your Dad

P/S

I was about ready to send this and I had second thoughts.

You need to know there are some around you that have no faith in God or the Lord Jesus Christ and would like to rob you of yours. Thinking they know everything they know nothing, are blind and shortsighted. These people are going to be greatly surprised when they take their last breath and leave their body and find themselves still alive confronting a spiritual realm of which they know nothing. Even Satan believes in God and fears Him.

Dear children I want you to know that God is very much alive.  He is very aware of you and wants to bless and give you a good life. You can choose to walk with Him or not.  That is up to you! He does not force anyone to follow Him. But know this; He knows where He is going, where most of us don’t have the foggiest idea.

Know this; there is life after you leave this mortal body whether you like it or not.

You cannot escape it. You are better off to be prepared for it!

May you see, hear and understand; death is only a shadow.

Be on the Alert!

1 Peter 5:6-8: Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

I often get calls from people that are troubled.  You might say they are anxious about one thing or another. Some were anxious because they had dreams that bothered them and troubled their minds. Others were troubled because of events that were happening in their household or the household of their extended family.

Not always, but much of the time, after listening to the dreams and the events that are happening it is very clear that spiritual powers are at work. It is amazing how long an evil spirit can work in our homes and churches sowing discord before anyone recognizes what is happening.

If we are growing spiritually, we should become more alert and aware of our surroundings, especially if evil spirits are at work.  From my own past experience, the church does very little teaching or preparing people to recognize this spiritual warfare and how to deal with it properly.  Not to point a finger at the pastors, most of them don’t recognize the problem and were never really taught how to deal with it themselves. The enemy does a wonderful job of keeping the church ignorant in some very important areas. You cannot teach something to others when you know nothing of it yourself.

If you want to learn how to discern and deal with these spirits that are so subtle, become acquainted with the Holy Spirit, and ask Him to teach you how to stand firm and defeat these foul spirits. Why do you need the Holy Spirit? Without his help you don’t stand a chance to defeat these spiritual beings.

Most Christian people know very little about these spirits. We should be very knowledgable.  And we suffer loss in our home and churches because of a lack of knowledge. We find that in this type of spiritual attack the responsibility does not rest on the church or pastor.  It rest on each one of us to be on the alert as the Holy Spirit warns us, through the dreams and circumstances, that these spirits are prowling through our homes looking for someone to devour.

Truth or Lie!

Truth is one of the very important things necessary for spiritual growth.  Every new truth you see and embrace increases your spiritual growth.  No truth, no increase. Many people think, or have been told or taught; “Let your conscience be your guide!” I tell you, you cannot always trust your conscience. When Adam and Eve fell, they fell all the way. Sin had a bad affect on the whole man, including our consciences. When man turns to God and has a conversion, or born again experience, restoration begins. God gives us a new heart. He restores the soul and spirit. Our conscience is a part of our soul and needs restoring. As new truth enters, it destroys the lies that have been a part of our lives. Our spiritual growth is increased, and our conscience is changed and is better able to discern good and evil.

How many times have you heard someone say, “Well it must be ok, my conscience didn’t bother me”!  The reason the conscience didn’t bother them was because it was seared, weak or an evil conscience.

As children grow up, the folks around them are constantly having an effect on the conscience of the child. Hopefully it is a good effect, but this is not always the case.

Truth is not always easy to receive. It is easier to believe the lie than to bear the burden of truth. How difficult it is to receive truth when we have been taught lies from our family and church. These lies or errors have become strongholds in our lives and convinced us they are truth.  Every family and church seems to have their share of these strongholds and they are like holy ground.  If you dare to speak out against these errors they will try to kill you. It is these perpetual lies that keep us as individuals and the church body from reaching the spiritual level and fruitfulness that God would have us attain.

Remember Satan is the father of lies, and he keeps people in bondage through lies.  Jesus and the Holy Spirit is the bringer of truth and the truth sets you free, no matter how painful it may be. We all seem to have our golden calves.  A golden calf is what the Israelites turned to in the desert. They worshiped the golden calf instead of God.  If we have anything we look up to in place of God it needs to be destroyed.

It is truth that brings these things down and set us free from them. We need to see these things for what they are in our minds, in our homes and in our churches, and not be bound by them anymore.

Evil In Me!Paul came out with an interesting statement in Romans 8:21: I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wishes to do good.

I have come to the conclusion that I am in the same condition. Evil is always trying to rise up in me, in my speech and in my actions. Yet I have known the Lord for many years and tried to be faithful and obedient. I finally asked myself the question. Why is evil in me? What is its purpose? Then another question comes to mind. Why did God cast Satan down to the earth where His church is?

I believe that Satan was cast down to this earth to fulfill his purpose. Satan’s purpose is to serve God and God’s people. In spite of the fact that he waged war in heaven and was defeated, he still must fulfill his purpose. God does cause all things to work together for our good, and that includes evil. When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of good and evil, evil became a part of them and has been a part of every one of us to this day. If you cannot see that evil is constantly trying to rise up in you and use you, you are indeed blind.

We look around us and see some people are constantly doing good and others doing many evil things. What is the difference between these people? Those doing good are refusing to allow the evil in them to rise up and control them. The others, are doing nothing to resist the evil that is in them and letting evil have its way in their life.

Evil is in us so that we can overcome it and defeat it. If you can defeat the evil in you, then you are truly a victorious person and you have defeated the evil in the world, in effect you have defeated Satan and all his evil spirits.

An interesting scripture in the Old Testament Genesis 4:5-7: But for Cain and his offering, He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door: and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”It is not the evil out there somewhere that defeats you. It is the evil in you that you do not master that defeats you We can have Christ in us and the baptism of the Holy Spirit and still live defeated day after day.Evil has a way of rising up in us so that it does not have the appearance of evil. We think of it as some small sin issue. And not only that, we make excuses for our sin which is really evil.

Is murder evil? Is coveting evil? Is gossip evil? Is uncontrolled anger and violence, sin or evil? Do these things make our countenance fall?

Who must master it? We do! God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit has given us everything we need to master evil and defeat it.
