Find Our Vision!

Wednesday, September 11th, 2013

I am writing this because of my concern for your future. We live in a fast changing world. It is hard to keep up with all that is happening around the world. Things seem to be a lot more uncertain than when I was a young person trying to find what life was all about.

I now realize I had one thing going for me; I had faith in God. I did not have a relationship with Him, but the faith alone was a vision that I had a future. I was thirty two before I received the vision and purpose that has made my life wonderful. May God bless you with a vision that will make your life as wonderful as Pauline and mine has been.

Dear children, I am also concerned with the direction our nation has taken. I have given it much thought and now I see; as a nation we have lost the vision we once had.

The vision was one nation under God with freedom and liberty for all.

The people that came to this nation to escape persecution had this vision. The people that fought and died and formed this nation also had this vision.  The folks that formed our government also had this vision.

The vision has been lost! I pray that it can be revived for your benefit and for your children’s benefit.

We are no longer one nation under God. Our government has made the mistake of trying to be God; to rule and control every aspect of your life. It has managed to remove God from Washington, from our schools, from our colleges, even trying to remove God from our speech. It has a lot of control over our news media.

I am at the sad place where I do not trust our government or most of our elected officials or even our high judges.

My dear loved one do not become dependant on the Government, earn your own way! Do not be bought off by the government as millions of people already are. Think for yourself. Do not go heavily into debt, you will live to regret it. Not every person needs to go to college to be successful, for some this will be their downfall.

I encourage you to pray; look to God for divine guidance, pray that God will restore the vision to our nation.

Remember we can still have God and Jesus Christ in the center of our lives, we can still be blessed by God even if our nation isn’t.

I pray for you and our nation every day; do the same.

Pray for Pauline and I everyday, thank you.

We love you very much and hope to see all of you soon,

                                             Your Dad

He Is Not Far Away!

Tuesday, May 28th, 2013

My Dear Children,

There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you and pray for you. I also try to be very discerning of the spiritual realm and how these spiritual being are trying to take advantage of you to mislead and confuse you. I think it is very wise for all parents to be and on guard and praying for their children. I hope and pray that you will remember to do so when you have a family.

We are living in a very perilous time.  If you pay attention to the news and to what is going on right around your community it may not be the safe place it once was. Our homes, workplaces, schools and even our churches are not the safe havens they once were.

Train yourself to be always alert to what is going on around you.  Don’t go around in a fog relying on others to watch out for you.  Have active minds, think of what you would do if some of the daily events happened to you. How would you respond to various situations?  You can be sure some difficult things will occur in your life at some point, and then you will be very glad to be ready for such a situation.

My dear children we are not to live in fear of every shadow, just be aware of what is in the shadows.  Be honest and truthful in all your dealings to the best of your ability.  Don’t get caught up in living a lie and cheating, this robs you of a peaceful mind and heart.  Once you start a lie it seems we have to lie again to cover the first lie.  It takes on a life of it own, then it begins to control you.

Dear children do not be to hard on yourself when you fail.  The world and other folks around you will be hard enough on you.  We all fail now and then!   What is important is that we get up and go on again. Know that you are going to disappoint family and friends. They will also disappoint you. Don’t be distressed by it, time heals a lot of things.

Life can be hard sometimes and relationships can leave deep wounds.  Remember that old things pass away and new things replace them. The heart has a wonderful way of healing and life goes on.

My loved one I encourage you to look for Jesus, He is not far away.  The Holy Spirit is always ready to help you in every situation. They may not seem very important to you right now but there will come a time when they will be your only help.

I know I am a foolish old man.  I also know this, my Father in heaven has made my life so fruitful and he has kept His eye on me all these many years.  He also has His eye on you and is making your life fruitful as well.

May God bless you and keep you!

All my Love and prayers,

Your Dad

P/S

I was about ready to send this and I had second thoughts.

You need to know there are some around you that have no faith in God or the Lord Jesus Christ and would like to rob you of yours. Thinking they know everything they know nothing, are blind and shortsighted. These people are going to be greatly surprised when they take their last breath and leave their body and find themselves still alive confronting a spiritual realm of which they know nothing. Even Satan believes in God and fears Him.

Dear children I want you to know that God is very much alive.  He is very aware of you and wants to bless and give you a good life. You can choose to walk with Him or not.  That is up to you! He does not force anyone to follow Him. But know this; He knows where He is going, where most of us don’t have the foggiest idea.

Know this; there is life after you leave this mortal body whether you like it or not.

You cannot escape it. You are better off to be prepared for it!

May you see, hear and understand; death is only a shadow.

We Need God’s Blessing!

Saturday, September 1st, 2012

My Dear Children,

I want to encourage you to be aware of the people around you that you can be a blessing to, or that need a helping hand. It seems like in this day and age most people are more interested in what I can get, not in what I can give. One of the things I came to see was the more I owned; the more it owned me. Don’t desire after to many things, they all have a way of becoming a burden.

When I look back at these many years that God has blessed me with, I think of the folks God put in my life to bless me. Some of these folks I never even knew their names. I think of an incident that happened in Detroit Mi. on one of our trips. It happened on I-94 in the middle of rush hour. It was winter and it was raining very hard with wind and right at the freezing point and I had a flat tire. I pulled over to the side of the interstate as far as I could and I started to get out of the van. A motorcycle cop pulled right up on side of me and said, “stay in the car, I will help you.” He had all this raingear on and he got out the jack, jacked up the van, changed the tire and sent us on our way. I was amazed that there was a motorcycle cop out in that terrible weather. I don’t even know his name, but I remember him. I wanted to give him something but he and would not take a cent, he was a giver. Every now and then we are blessed by an angel. This cop was an angel. Maybe if you are alert you can become an angel to someone.

Beloved children, I have another very important issue to write about. Our nation is in distress in many ways. It seems like half our nation is on fire, is in the midst of droughts or floods with great loss of homes, millions of unemployed folks, violent outbreaks in schools and businesses, and even worse than these things; our nations is rejecting God and casting him out of one area after another where we need His blessing and wisdom. We are allowing God to be removed from every part of our nation’s life. God is allowing this to happen because He does not force Himself on any nation or anyone.

Have you given any thought as to why the increase of all this pain, loss and distress in our country?

The blessing is gone! We would be wise to pay attention to what the Lord said to Solomon. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14:

If I shut up the heavens so there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people. And my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Dear loved ones: We have an enemy that is out to destroy our Christian values, our faith and all that is important to us. We are at a crucial point for our nation. If we do not act all is lost and we will continue the downward slide. We need Gods blessing on our land, and in our homes.

Dear family, my prayer is we will all see clearly and act accordingly.

May God bless you with wisdom!

My Love and prayers,

Dad

Life Goes On

Saturday, January 21st, 2012

My Dear Children,

Life goes on! We all seem to have our share of good times and bad times, expect both.  It is fun to make plans and do the things you want. However, it doesn’t always work out that way because other people have plans too. I remember when we were going to Israel, our tour agent told me things will go wrong but don’t allow it to ruin your trip. Make the best of it and enjoy your trip. I encourage you in the same way. Make up your mind to enjoy life every day, even when things are not going your way.

There are opportunities around us every day if we will only see them. To see them we must stop worrying about what someone else is doing or accomplishing or what their abilities are. I must see what my abilities are and what my opportunities are and take advantage of them. God forbid that you become a ward of the government or of the state to make all your decisions and take care of you all your life. What a sad dreadful state to live in all your life.

My dear children I know that some of you are finishing school or college. You have many years to do great things, to accomplish things that no one else has ever accomplished. Do not be intimidated by the future or filled with fear. In my lifetime so many things have happened that no one dreamed would ever happen. I never dreamed Pauline and I would be helping to make hundreds of lives better through evangelizing and the healing ministry. I never dreamed I would write several books that would help people. I never dreamed we would travel over much of the world and bringing other people with us. I wonder what you will accomplish that you never dreamed you would.

Don’t expect things to stay the same. They are constantly changing. Our best laid plans have a way of going astray, take that as an opportunity to make new ones. Don’t take that as a defeat, but that God has something better for you than your best laid plans.

We live in a time of great change. You can’t stop this change. It is happening all over the world. God is involved in this change. It is going to happen and we live in a very exciting time. Our nation is changing, the Arab countries are changing, Europe is changing, China is changing. It is very important to be aware of this change. Don’t resist it but take advantage of it. There are going to be many opportunities if you can get outside of your box. Some people will be able to break free from there little boxes, many people will not.

My dear children I want to leave you with this thought: Some people do not believe in God; some people hope there is no God; I tell you, there is a God! Down through the ages, nations, governments and religions have tried to take the place of God and failed! Only God can be God! Don’t ever let anyone be God in your life, but God!

I think of you every day and pray for you all the time.

You’re Loving Father

Be Wise – Think For Yourself

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

My Dear Children,

It is so easy to think ill of ourselves and not be aware of how gifted and talented we are. Do not be quick to put yourself down, others will take care to do that. I often think of what a tough hide people must have that are running for office. I don’t envy them at all. We live in an interesting and challenging time, a time of great change in the world and in our country.

We have many people in the media and politics that are expert at manipulating your thinking. Don’t allow them to have their way with your mind or emotions. I knew a man that was in a responsible position and people would come to him and tell him you need to do this and you need to do that. Another person would come to him and tell him just the opposite. This man would listen to what they had to say and agree with them; “yes this is a need to be taken care of”. He didn’t get angry or argue with them, he just listened. These folks would go away happy. They had told this man what to do! He would then consider what these folks said, then would decide what he thought was best and that is what he would do. He was a wise man and had a lot of friends!

I knew another man, he was a pastor. There were some in his church that wanted change, others wanted everything to stay the same. Sunday morning he would have a very orderly service with songs from the old songbook. This made some people very happy. In the evening he would have a very different service with the new music and a very open pulpit. People could share and testify. This too made some other people very happy. Both of these men were wise and did some thinking for themselves for the benefit of all.

I know there are times we need to make a stand one way or another! But many times that is not the case. It is better to keep an open mind knowing there is a better way than taking sides.

Dear children, even in difficult times there are opportunities. Jobs are not so plentiful but there are jobs if we can be flexible and ask for the Lord to guide and direct our footsteps. Help from our government is fine. I don’t think government was ever intended to meet all our needs. Government cannot do everything for us, a lot of things we need to do for ourselves.

My dear loved ones, I encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and you will not be disappointed.

You are in my prayers every day,

Your Dad

There Is A Right Way And A Wrong Way!

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

My Dear Children,

In these eighty years of life God has given me, I have made many mistakes. I expect that if God gives me a few more years I will make some more mistakes. I like to think I have gained a little wisdom and knowledge so that I don’t repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Some of the mistakes I made were very minor with little consequence; other mistakes I made were very serious with long lasting consequences.

I would like to pass on some of the things I have learned that I hope will benefit you. If I was to title this letter, I would title it: “There is a right way and a wrong way!”

My dear children don’t be hasty but make decisions when they need to be made. Don’t put them off! One thing you always want to do, is to think; what is the right thing to say; what is the right thing to do in this situation don’t be ruled by your emotions or by what someone else thinks you should do or not do. Think; is this the right way or the wrong way, how is this decision going to effect my future, or other peoples future. What might seem like the right thing for this moment could turn out to be the wrong thing for the future. You might think; this is the cheapest way to go; in a few days you find it was a very costly way to go. I am not speaking primarily of money; the cost may be the loss of a good job or a friend or something else of value to you.

There is another aspect of right and wrong that I need to consider where other people are involved. Am I doing right by this other person or persons?

If we don’t stop and think often we are not even aware that right and wrong is involved in our decisions and actions. Often we hear this statement; “I never thought this would happen when I made that decision.

My Dear loved ones a wonderful truth I have found; if I take a few moments in each situation and ask the question; “What is the right, what is the wrong; in this decision or action? “ You will have a knowing from the Lord; “this is the way; walk in it!’

You are all in my prayers every day.

May God bless you with health and happiness!

Your Dad

Freely Live, Freely Give! (July 4, 2011)

Monday, July 25th, 2011

My Dear Children,

The forth of July; Pauline and I often thank God for the nation we live in. We have traveled a lot in our lifetime. I hope to travel some more, God willing. Pauline and I have been in this ministry over forty years now. This last trip we drove was 4250 miles, we know that it is time for us to begin to slow down a little and we are going to do that.

I am sure that like a lot of other folks I grumble about the government and taxes and other things and in spite of it all, we live in a wonderful country with a lot of wonderful people. I believe that we have the greatest freedom of any nation on the earth. I watch the news and see the millions of people all over the world struggling to have peace and freedom and I think how blessed we are. The freedoms and peace we have, came with a price.

It seems to me that one of our greatest enemies is greed. Be on guard that you do not allow it to become a stronghold in your life. The more we have the more we want. There is nothing wrong with having wealth as long as you give freely so that someone else is blessed with it.

Dear children, grand children, and my spiritual children, one thing I have learned, the more you own, the more owns you. You become a servant of the things you own, if it is a home or cars or lots of money or even a pet, you are its servant. I have seen the prince and princess on TV as they have been touring Canada, I don’t envy them I feel for them. What a position they are in! They have to be guarded all the time, people want to touch them, to talk to them, constantly in the public eye. They are paying a price. Part of that price is their freedom, they are a national treasure of England and that comes with a price.

It is such a sad thing for our nation that so many people think the government is responsible for them. When we think the government is our provider and have lost the will to provide for ourselves and think that others are responsible for our welfare, we have given up our right to care for ourselves, and in the process we give up our freedom.

We have even given up our right to a free vote. Because even though I vote, I have to vote for those that will keep meeting my needs.

Dear loved ones, don’t hold back from meeting the needs of folks around you. Do it freely expecting nothing in return. Do not get caught in the trap that says; “I have done this for you now you must do this for me.” Give freely and receive freely but don’t get caught in the trap.

Dear family you are in my prayers and thoughts every day!

Your loving Father

Are You Prepared?

Monday, April 25th, 2011

My dear Children,

I just received a call from our friends Paul and Jean Stankevich up in Armstrong Creek Wisconsin. You have heard me speak of them in the past. Pauline and I always stop on our way out to Wisconsin. They have a couple hundred acre farm up in the north woods. Paul called to tell me a tornado came by their house and took the barn, the garage and chicken coop. It happened about eight at night and they were in the house and they heard something funny so they went into the stairwell and it was past in seconds. Jean looked out the back window and the barn was gone, Paul looked out the kitchen and the garage was gone. The barn, house and garage are all very close together; their car was parked between the barn and house and only got a few scratches, the house was not touched.

Paul’s aunt Stella lives about a quarter mile away. She was in her kitchen and heard the cap fall of the chimney, when they looked out the window their barn was gone and the garage damaged. God was certainly watching over these people.

I am sharing this because changes can happen very quickly. In just a few moments a big change came in their lives.  Can it happen to you and I?  Of course it can.  The question is, how well equipped are we to handle whatever big change comes our way?

Several nations in the world are facing big changes right now.  Some of them were better prepared then others. The ruling party in Egypt was not very well prepared. The Japanese had prepared and thought they were well prepared but it was not enough.

My dear children we can be prepared for whatever happens if we take advantage of it. We are more then just a physical body.  We have a soul and a spirit.  When your body dies your soul and spirit still live.  Don’t think for a moment that when your body dies you are finished; you are not! This means that all these people that died in Egypt and Japan and other parts of the world are still alive. I wonder if they were ready for this or if they were taken totally by surprise when their soul and spirit left the body and they found themselves still alive and aware.

I remember as a young man that I had come to the conclusion there was more to life than the few years that I would be on this earth in this body. I still believe there are a lot of surprises before us and the few years we spend in this body are nothing compared to the eternity that is before us. Don’t be short-sighted and think only of the now but invest in your spiritual future as well. Changes are going to come to all of us, be as well prepared as you can for this short life. Be as well prepared as you can for the future life.

I know that we can be prepared for this spiritual life. I encourage every one of you to ask God to help you be prepared; to read the bible and learn of Jesus who has already prepared a way for you if you will take advantage of it. There is going to be a big change for every one of us.

My dear family this is of the utmost importance.

All my love and prayers,

Dad

Clear Thinking – Good Decisions

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

My Dear Children,

You are very important to me. I pray that God will give you much wisdom so that your life will go well. We all have a future before us where there are pitfalls and obstacles.  Let us pray there will not be too many and that we will find our way through them quickly.

Recently I went to the VA hospital in St Pete, FL for a hernia operation; it has been almost two weeks now and I am doing fine; in two more weeks I can return to throwing horseshoes again.

Just before the operation the doctor came and talked with me and gave me instructions of what I could do and not do after the operation. One of the things that he said to me was that I was not to make any major decisions or plans for a couple of days after the operation; I did not! This morning I woke up thinking about that statement from the doctor; “Don’t make any major decisions or plans for two days”. I realize he told me that because I was going to be put under for the operation and my mind would not be functioning quite right for a couple of days.

My dear family there are other times that we should not be making decisions and plans. When you are angry and upset or frustrated, do not makes decisions or plans for the day or the future.

I have come to realize that our emotions and desires have a big effect on our mind; just like drugs do! Children listen to me; do not make any major decisions and plans when you are upset; wait; until your emotions are quiet and you’re strong desires are cooled of; then your mind can function properly, and you can see things clearly.

When Chris and Elaine were going to get married the priest would not marry them until they went to some marriage classes. The priest told Chris when you see something you really want don’t buy it right away, wait two weeks then go back and look again you may not want it. Chris told me he remembered that and practiced it and it saved him from buying a lot of things he didn’t need.

My dear loved one, we all have desires and emotions.  Don’t let them control you! Be controlled by a clear sound mind and thoughts.

God loves you.  Don’t ever forget that! He is there to help you when ever you are in need.

My love, prayers and thoughts are with you every day,

Your Dad

A Wonderful Mind

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

To all my Dear Children and Grandchildren,

I felt this was a good time to write to you and speak about a wonderful gift that God has given us. A mind that can reason, think and learn.  And to my loss, I neglected using it to its fullest.  I expect that I still fall far short of using it full capabilities.

In the bible in Hosea 4:6 it reads; my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,

In Isaiah 5:13 it reads; Therefore my people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; and their honorable men are famished; and their multitude is parched with thirst

My dear children; I pray that you will use your gift; your learning and reasoning to the fullest, and that you will increase in wisdom and knowledge

I want to you know; there are two different types of wisdom and knowledge.

One is the wisdom and knowledge of man and the world.  The other is the wisdom and knowledge from God.

Our nation is in great distress at this time because there are many others like me that thought they had great knowledge but only had the knowledge of the world. I think that all of you know about the Garden of Eden; there were two trees, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve could have eaten from the tree of life instead they were deceived into eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Today we still have to make the same decision.  Which tree am I going to eat from?

The tree of life is the wisdom and knowledge from God. One of the names of Jesus is the Wisdom of God. Two of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom and knowledge.

Don’t think that I am trying to convert you to some religion, I am not. I don’t care what church you go to or if you don’t go.  That is your decision to make. I am speaking about this wonderful mind that God has given us, and how we can use it to the fullest with the wisdom and knowledge of God available to us. Then we can make proper decision and not be taken in by the wisdom and knowledge of the world that is destructive and brings us into bondage and robs us of our freedom.

My dear family, I am amazed at some of the decisions that people make that are going to affect their lives deeply for years to come.  I think, “Are they crazy; why are they making such a decision?”  Now I know why they are making such decisions, it is the way of the world. It is the wisdom and knowledge of the world and as a result we suffer loss and go into bondage.

My dear loved ones, I pray that God will add to that wonderful mind that He has given you.  That He will fill it with Godly wisdom and knowledge and that you will have peace and prosper and be free.

Merry Christmas a great New Year.

I think of you every day.

Dad
